Some people get lucky and start off with huge planets while other have nothing. My point though is that whoever attacks first, will usually lose. It goes like this.
First guy attacks. He sends all forces to another dude and succesfully takes him over. But oh wait, then the third guy goes in and swipes away all his planets depleting his forces as well. At this point usually the fourth player will sweep right in and win the game with no problem.
Most people don't realize they must work together to defeat the bigger one and then later fight each other. I have rarely encountered people who help me take the person who has the higher advantage. Usually those who understand that is 1 Stripe Admirals and above. Galcon always has this kind of scenario because it is just how peoples brains work. They see a guy hurt, and they take advantage of it forgetting there are two other massive fleets awaiting to destroy him.
I also am annoyed when some noob goes all out and it looks like he is going to win and then just plain out loses. Really makes me angry to see a fool fail like that.
All I have to say to Galcon players is this... RISKpost updated on Jan 19, 2010 @ 6:36pm | | Re: Galcon Repeat Scenarios :: Jan 19, 2010 @ 8:47pm |

Often what happens is C attacks D WAY too late and A just waits for the finish. What should happen is if C is going to attack D do it IMMEDIATELY. A and B will be going back and forth so there's some time but remember, you have to do it too.
In the case of two 1v1s whoever finishes first usually declares victory.
Solutions:
Player A: Don't be an idiot and attack. This is not Desktop where there's a larger playing field and more people, so attacks can go "unnoticed". If you attack chances are you'll die too.
Player B: Run... really all you can do. Take your revenge when A is weak.
Player C: Attack IMMEDIATELY if you are going to do so. Why wait? Or, better yet, don't attack. This will create interesting scenarios.
Player D: If it's an immediate attack then you can fight back. The difference with A & B's battle is you know the situation with the other players. If you fight back then hurry so you can kill the winner of A & B's battle. If it's a prolonged attack then run... otherwise you're dead.
EDIT: Sorry, this was kinda off-topic...post updated on Jan 19, 2010 @ 8:48pm | | Re: Galcon Repeat Scenarios :: Jan 19, 2010 @ 10:21pm |
