Posts: 842 | that useless, annoying notifications drop down gone FOREVER!
this worked for me and black5535 on itouch, iphone4, and ipad.
STEPS
1. settings > general > accessibility > triple-click home > enable Toggle AssistiveTouch
2. go back to accessibility > enable AssistiveTouch
3. a touch icon thing should appear. click on that icon
4. in the pop up there should be a Home option. triple click the home option
