But can we run the game without the rest of the webpage (no borders and stuff) to get fullscreen?
And how do we chat? USB keyboard?
I may try it out tomorrow.
It's 2:33am for me in Germany lol. I'm gonna sleep now I think :D.
What are your thoughts about that?post updated on Jul 27, 2010 @ 6:33pm |

I think the time has little to do with the purpose of your post. |

May make a WiiWare game.
But flash should work. |

Phil has thought about porting Galcon proper to the Wii, but hasn't made any steps to actually doing it. |

Flash version loads the page, but not the swf (just a border), I waited about 5 minutes and it didn't started. Wii has just flash 8 at the moment, does the game support that version?
Can I download the swf and upload it on another server to try it out? Maybe when I load the swf directly without HTML page around it it may work. |

(Preferably NOT flash galcon, however, Fusion for wii!)
edit: Specified that I'd like fusion, not flash.

Either make it a disc or a WiiWare game.
I don't know how it is about updates with the game, but just integrate an updater right in the game so you don't always have to download the newest version from the Wii shop channel.
The problems on a disc are:
- The user supposes that there is rich content on the disc, so Phil has to add more modes and a career (like on IA or so).
The problems on WiiWare are:
- Not anybody shops in the Wii shop channel (they don't know or don't want).
The problems of the Wii are:
- The cursor is kind of inaccurate for small planets.
- The max. resolution is lower then the actual 800x600. (I think its 740x480 or so).
- You have to integrate online play with Nintendo WiFi-connection I believe.
Flash doesn't work I think, or it won't work very well, because the Wii has a processor with about 746mhz and 64mb of ram and 24mb of fast ram. And flash needs power. |

So I made a 1680x1050 screen record and converted it to 720x480 pixels, which is PAL resolution, and it looked pretty good compared to the 800x600.
If there is something like 2D Anti-Aliasing, it should be used at a 2x factor, so the planets and text are looking better (and ships of course).
I uploaded the 720x480 video here: http://tinyurl.com/38gdxjq
EDIT: Yes I know I lost against 5 bots, and that sucks, but I can do it, trust me...It's just a demonstration video.post updated on Nov 6, 2010 @ 5:01am |
