I'd say it is a nickle and a dime.
You are correct , it's nothing though! Good job. :)post updated on Sep 3, 2009 @ 2:52pm | | Re: Riddles :: Sep 3, 2009 @ 3:21pm |

Four men were in a boat on the lake. The boat turns over, and all four men sink to the bottom of the lake, yet not a single man got wet! Why? | | Re: Riddles :: Sep 3, 2009 @ 3:50pm |

The men were all married, so there were no "single" men in the boat. So, yes, no "single man" got wet... the "married men" got wet! | | Re: Riddles :: Sep 4, 2009 @ 2:47am |

Four men of equal strength need to cross a river, as lava is slowly travelling towards them. There's one boat, which can take 2 people at once.
One man is light enough to row across in 1 minute, one man in 2 minutes, one man in 5 minutes and one man in 10 minutes. When two are travelling together, the boat goes at the speed of the slower individual. Obviously the boat has to be rowed back to collect the other people, so if the 1 minute man and the 10 minute row across together and the 1 minute man rowed back, total journey time for them would be 11 minutes.
They have 17 minutes to cross the river before they become quite crispy and super dead. How is it done?
----
Also, and sorry this is in capitals, I copied it from the net:
3 MEN GO INTO A MOTEL.
THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS $30,
SO EACH MAN PAID $10 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.
A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALIZED
THE ROOM WAS ONLY $25, SO HE
SENT THE BELLBOY TO THE 3 GUYS' ROOM WITH $5.
ON THE WAY, THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT
HOW TO SPLIT $5 EVENLY BETWEEN 3 MEN,
SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND
KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR HIMSELF.
THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM,
WHICH IS A TOTAL OF $ 27,
ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29.
WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR?
------------

The dollar is lost in the equation. The part that messes it up is when you say each man payed nine dollars, but to mathematically come back to 30 the equation cant be separate. They paid 10 dollars each, and 5 dollars were distributed now between 4 people. | | Re: Riddles :: Sep 4, 2009 @ 6:38am |

there is no "other dollar" because you were supposed to minus the $2 the bellboy kept and not add it since you're not trying to get to 30 anymore. you're trying to get to 25 (which is how much the room cost) | | Re: Riddles :: Sep 4, 2009 @ 6:39am |

1 min man and 5 min man = 6 min there and back
leave 5 min man
1 min man and 2 min man = 9 min there and back
leave 2 min man
1 min man and 10 min man there. But they have already left that side of the river, so the lava cant get them on the water and they have extra time.
They could all swim at once
