you evacuate your home, because you spawned in the middle of enemy territory, and took off after being double teamed.
you manage to get 50 ships off before you get token over.
If you fly around enemy territory, they will have to be hasty, and cautious when feeding to the front lines, which means your team has more troops in the front and your team wins

There are simply too many variables to give a simple yes or no answer.

Cause it causes them less time with a 145plaent production! | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 12, 2012 @ 1:38pm |

If the player manage to get his ships redirected to his planet you should fly around the "feeders" in order for them to support less the other planets.
Teams are a fast game that 90% of the games are decided in the first 5~10 seconds, so attacking a planet that isnt next to you would take too much time flying and possibly ruining the game for your team. | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 12, 2012 @ 2:16pm |

Find the right balance for each game :P Id generally say though that if youre flying with 50 ships, you didnt try to cause enought damage early on. | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:44pm |

This is good because, "enemy1" will send 100% to your planet, in this case you just take his planet and leave him feeding "enemy2" or getting fed by "enemy2". Or he sends 50% to you, then you need to redirect your ships to another planet or to a "feeder". This way you'll have good control of you ships.
So after you have done that, there are three things you could have going, 1) you have both of fleets flying, 2) you took one side and have one fleet flying, 3) you have taken both of the sides.
In case 1) you could go to a "feeder" and get him to feed less to the opponent, which will probably cause for a win. Or, a better option, you could send one fleet to one "feeder" and the other fleet to another "feeder", which will further increase the chances of winning.
In case 2) you send your flying fleet to the other side of the map, where there is a "feeder" and with the planet that you have you either feed or get fed by a teammate.
I case 3) you either feed your teammate or get fed by your teammate.
Now, if you're the "feeder" then, in most cases, you shouldn't be flying to the other side of the map, because if your teammates doesn't get fed enough ships they will probably die therefrom. But you can send a couple of ships to the other side of the map, I'd say 10-15 and then continue feeding your teammates. Those 10-15 ships will help you surprisingly good. However, this will not work if it's 2v3 where your team is with three players and has half the map and the other team has two players and has half the map. Because they will probably not feed each others that much and have a good defense, this will cause you losing those few ships and so losing the game, because you couldn't feed you teammates enough.
There is one more scenario I want to explain: if you're attacking a player and you send a few ships to the "feeder" he will think that he is being attacked by you, so he will stop feeding your attacker for 3-5 seconds, that is the moment where you redirect into the you attackers planets. The "feeder" will have to be really quick or you will take-over your attackers whole cluster.
So, all these little flying tricks will help you win the game, but if you fly long-termed, you will most likely lose the game. | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 12, 2012 @ 5:08pm |

Especially when the person is being fed by the teammates behind him, and he decides to take off, which leaves the cluster open to the enemy team. | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 12, 2012 @ 6:32pm |

And you only take of if you have enough ships in the planet, or if you get fed enough. | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 13, 2012 @ 6:22am |

for more experienced players - as said above, it depends. i only fly after annoying the enemy for as long as possible.
once you fly, a skilled player will manage their percentage to counter you | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 13, 2012 @ 8:35am |

But you should only do it when you're in the middle of two enemies and those enemies are surrounded by your teammates. So if they send around 50 ships to you, you first of all will not get killed because of the production you have, and second your teammates will be able to take the enemies out in no-time.
But if they send 75-100 they will end up feeding each other, so this buys your teammates enough time to quickly move towards there planets and get them right away. | | Re: Flying in Teams :: Aug 15, 2012 @ 4:20pm |
