Posts: 3 | I have bought Galcon Fusion from the mac app store, and I can't seem to figure out how to set up LAN play, any time I click on "multiplayer" all the servers listed are of type "internet" and there is no button like "create/host/...". I have done various searches on here or google but no dice, all answers are of the kind of "it creates a LAN game" but I can't figure out HOW to make it do so.
Anybody knows how this is supposed to work?
I also would like to LAN between my laptop and desktop with the same app store authorization, would that be allowed? (I also own galcon fusion on ipad so I think it would be ok from an ethical perspective to play 2-player on LAN with one mac app store copy, since I did pay for 2 after all :) if it's not allowed, can you LAN between ipad and os/x?). |

Apple didn't approve of the LAN mode in Galcon Fusion for the Mac App Store because it did not work on their network. (Though it seems to work for everyone else ..) You might be able to download Galcon from www.galcon.com/fusion/download.php to get the LAN game back.

Posts: 3 | weird, thanks! So I would download the "demo" dmg from this site and it will pick up automatically that I have the full license via the app store purchase? or is there something else I need to do? |

Location: Zarcon The Developer | I can't guarantee that, but I think it will. At least for LAN games. Playing multiplayer on the Galcon servers probably won't work.
Another option, instead of LAN you could all join a Private server.

Posts: 3 | it doesn't, if I click on "play" in multiplayer a red bar comes across the screen saying X01:unauthorized account (or something like it), if I click on "local" it just says "attempting to join a local game", I can't see any option that allows me to start a local LAN server...
or is it a matter that both machines would click start and then they would "find" each other without one having to "start as a server"? still it would be nice to to get the "unauthorized account" warning :)post updated on Mar 20, 2011 @ 3:24pm |

in galcon (multiplayer) you have servers.
you have list.
you can join servers.
so there are some servers that are empty, and some that are not.
so you can join server that has players, you can join server that has no players or you can join private server in which only your added friends can bump in and play against you.
no one can see your server unless he adds you for friend. |

If a private server is the answer, how do you CREATE a private server? What are the steps my friend and I need to follow? I take it step one is to Friend each other via these forums? (It will either be Mac-to-Mac or Mac-to-iPad, and more often via WAN than LAN.)

(If multiplayer is limited on Mac, I�d suggest outlining those limitations in the App Store description.)

first you need to open galcon on your mac/pc/ipad.
then click on multi-player

then click play
then you get something like this

so
on the left side you have flags
flags are for ranks
and flags show how "powerfull" that cserver is.
if you have players with better flags server is more "powerfull" and better to join.
on right side you have
CLASSIC
TEAMS
STEALT etc etc
those are game modes.
look a bit more on picture and you will see PRIVATE server..
you click on it.
and your friend will see you and join you.
he will see your name and it will say private near you.
on my picture you can see grimfandango, guitee, kunckles and yusuke, they are all my friends in servers.
and one more thing
classic is normal galcon and that is what you should try out first. teams is next step, then crash and then billiards and then stealth..
but those game modes on right side don't realy matter at all.
when you come to server list you should just watch on server names .
everytime you come classic servers will be lsited first then teams and others.
and if there are soo many servers with players (which is not likely to happen) then if you want to see if there is nay crash server you should press on crash and if htere is any crash server it will list up as first on server list.
to add friend.
you can go here on site
right corner(YOUR PROFILE-> click on it!)
then you ahve white box and in front of it it say find a friend.
so you have to type his name in white box and click Go!
then you will get all people with that name or that part of name.
probably maximum 10 people.
then when you find him just click on his name and then you will appear on his profile and you have to press add friend under his name and picture.
but if this addind friend is complicated all you have to do is
copy this

delete ljubom from that link and put his name and press enter(you ahve to do this in "link bar").
later when you meet more people, you can click on emoticon that is on right side of name when you are in server whaiting to start game.

I thought Private in the server list referred to one particular private server (someone elseâs) but I guess itâs really a different kind of function. (Might be clearer if it were a button outside the list.) |

Posts: 4 | I canât test LAN until I get my iPad, but windowed mode works on Mac, and you can minimize the window. (It keeps playing, with sound, unless you pause with Esc before minimizing.) |

I've bought via AppStore Galcon Fusion and can't find any way to create Private game to play with friends.
There is no button or link about Private game in a MultiPlayer Tab. If I click "Play" button I see only existing games which I can't join. After I click on any game I see message in left part that I have joined but at the right side there is a message on a blue background that I'm connecting to the server, and if I'm connecting to the local server it will take a few seconds.
Can anybody help me, please? |

The Mac App Store version of Galcon Fusion doesn't have support for LAN games.
You can join a private server and if you are friends with other users they can find you.
