http://www.galcon.com/fusion/beta.php
And leave some feedback here .. I've updated the video settings one more time, in hopes that it will work out-of-the-box for more people. If you have video problems and fixed them by switching to 32 bit or 16 bit mode, please try this build and see if it works in both your 32 bit and 16 bit modes (it should now.)
Please post here if you download it .. Include which OS you are on (Win/Mac/Linux). Steam users can download the windows version and activate it with their username/password. However it does not include Steam features.
Thanks!

So does the sound bug on Linux 64-bit systems was fixed ?
(I'm using the pathced version so it's fixed for me).
Also, is there a release log of changes in the new version ?
And, will the old "patched" irrklang.so file work with the new version if I'll overwrite the new one ?post updated on Feb 24, 2010 @ 8:28am |

Anyway, this new version should fix the sound issues. You can just un tgz it somewhere else and check that though :)
As for the video issues, double check that you have the latest drivers from nvidia or ati.
Thanks!

First impression report.....
Sound Works....yeah! The music is a bit choppy but the sound efx are spot on.
Game play.....I am sure my team mates for the three games I played were none to happy with my performance. All action on the screen froze up twice and there were times when the lag between selecting planets to use against Dr Heine and the watching those ships sail on to their doom were seconds long. I had never noticed this whilst playing the non beta.
More as I get the chance to jump back in. |

My computer used to run Fusion just fine.
However I recently wiped the hard disc and installed Windows XP, Lenovo sound and video drivers, then ran Windows Update until I had SP3 and all the other updates.
I installed 1.0.10 from Galcon.com. Setup ran fine but when I try to start Galcon Fusion it says:
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
Ran setup again, that didn't help.
Computer is a Lenovo Thinkpad X60s with "Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family" integrated video. Any suggestions would be appreciated... thanks! |
