Currently I want to be an Android beta tester. However, I don't have an Andriod. |

Admittedly that's a much, much, much higher concentration of good acts in one day than usual (none), but I like to think I'm not a cold, self-obsessed *******.post updated on Aug 25, 2010 @ 2:49am |

For one iPad players have not been playing nearly as long as some of you desktop players, but some iPad players are starting to get really good. I am the first iPad player to reach GA while all the previous Ga's have been computer players.
iPad : iPad allows you to be much faster than on desktop you can conrol the whole board much easyier becuase of the abbilty to use multiable fingers (I use 3 fingers from time to time) .
Desktop: Desktop was for me very hard to play, much harder to be fast and much harder to conrol a whole map at a time, But these things can be done on desktop and when you can you have a couple more tricks up your sleeves than iPad players. Drag box: the thing I missed most from desktop when I switched was the drag box because its much harder and takes longer to tap on all the planets in a small area (this is why alot of iPad players are shift clickers) while on computer you can quickly drag a box and dominate the poor iPad player who is still trying to tap his planets. Faster % changer: Now this dosn't come into play alot when you are playing FFA, or Teams but in a 1v1 the % changer can kill iPad players. Diffrent moments call for diffrent %s in 1v1 and desktop players can quickly change the % to suite them while iPad players have to stop everything they are doing and flick at the bottom of the board 2-4 times to get the % they want, this takes way to long and can kill you in 1v1.
In the end (for now) the average desktop player is better than the average iPad player this my reverse over time but who knows. So the iPad and the desktop are about even with a few pros, and cons for each. |

I am the second GA on iPad( I think) and eighth in fusion) and I started a little under 3 months ago) and if I were to ay on computer you probably would think I'm a noob who just started. The iPad is so much faster with 2 or more fingers at once helps you be faster. There are defiantly perks with both, but I feel iPad has overall more potential. |

That was my original guess when I asked this question, and it seems to always be the perk people mention when they talk about the iPad's benefits. If the iPad ever gets the box feature, it will undoubtedly a better tool of destruction. Currently, I guess its all about practice and opinion.
Thanks for all the responses guys! |
