Why is Fusion for iPad $2, but Fusion for PC/Mac is $10? They're the same game, aren't they? So why the huge price difference?

On that note, I remember reading a thread that basically concluded Fusion for PC/Mac players can always win against Fusion for iPad players... is this really true? So a player on iPad simply CANNOT win against a PC/Mac platform player?

Also, for those who own both and have played on both platforms, is the performance of Fusion on iPad good? As in smooth and lag-free, just like on Galcon for iTouch/iPhone? Or is Fusion not as responsive as iTouch/iPhone Galcon?

Ah while I'm on the subject, what proportion of games being played are team games vs. FFA games in Fusion at any particular time, on average? Is it a 1:1 ratio usually, or like 3 FFA servers to 1 team server?

Thanks!

It's the interface, controls ect. in general that give a pc/MAC player the advantage.

Pc has boxing and tab. iPad has multi-touch and tunneling.

Question one, I can only speculate. It's a LOT harder to sale a game on iPad for $10 than it is on PC. There's just not much market room for that. The PC technically comes with more, retro, and the original Galcon for free. But I think that boils down to the fact they really can't effeciently sale it on iPad for much more than that.

All speculation though.

Question 2 no. I've heard it both ways over the years. Any difference is situational and minimal if any real advantage either way. Most of that is just silliness.

3. I've noticed no lag issues, or any issues at all. but my iPad experience is minimal.

Thanks for the info guys. It was helpful!

From the feedback I've gained, it seems iPad does not have the ability to use your finger to draw a selection box around planets, though? That would be very useful! I'd urge Nanno to urge Phil to add that. It's a fairly basic, yet highly important feature in the realm of the control method.

If the 'selection box' idea is figured out, it could even be included in an iGalcon update ;)

I know it will happen.

Take one part business model + 2 parts busy with other projects + 1 part monetizing a galcon update = business plan.

It's inevitable. Just not necessarily this year....

I will have faith even when you have none melek! I will be richly rewarded with a demi-uberadmin acount, which allows me to kick admins with names starting with "Mel" or those that end with "ek"

Why sell for so much, if you sell it for 1$ a lot of people will buy it for the online experience. I recommend takeing away the little cheesy picks for the advertising though. Make it look more competeve and people will buy!

Most the people who play games on i-pods and i-pads are teenagers, they don't have tht much money. At first I thought this was a lame game when my brother bought it, but then I played online and realized it was soooooooooo much fun!

There's really no need for you to echo every single post on the forums that you agree with.
