- your planets are circled at the beginning of the round
- a "headless" server mode. Now anyone can run a server without having the Galcon screen showing up:
Under linux:
cd galcon
./galcon server -name $name -passwd $passwd [-gtitle $description -gpasswd $game_password]
Under windows goto the command prompt:
cd "C:\Program Files\Galcon"
main server -name $name -passwd $passwd [-gtitle $description -gpasswd $game_password]
Under MacOSX run Utilities/Terminal:
cd /Applications/Galcon.app/Contents/MacOS
./galcon server -name $name -passwd $passwd [-gtitle $description -gpasswd $game_password]
Have fun! |

Follow the windows instructions -- the part about the command line, change that with:
1. Click the Start button
2. Click Run...
3. Type "cmd"
4. Click OK
.. then do the rest of what I said, tell me if you have any trouble .. |

I have a 64 bit system, but I run a 32 bit linux on it. Is there a way I could virtualize a 64 bit linux? If so, I could probably make 64 bit linux binaries as well. |

-bash: ./galcon: No such file or directory
no it's not possible to run/compile 64bit on 32bit vise versa is possible (32bit on 64bit) i think.
i install the 32bit libraries and try to run it with them.
if this doesn't work i could provide you shell access to a 64bit machine for compiling if you like.
regards
ps: ok - got i running using the 32bit libraries.anyway a 64bit version would be nice too.
question, how can i host multiple servers with one account?
and how can i use different ports for the server?

How did you get it working on the 64 bit system?
I might be interested in compiling it on your system, can you e-mail me and we can talk about it there? Thanks!
Regarding multiple servers on one host - Galcon doesn't support that yet, but e-mail me what you are thinking about doing, and I might add support for it to the game. I like having plenty of servers!
Thanks!
